El Bulli is a restaurant located outside of Barcelona that is consistently ranked as one of the top 3 restaurants in the world. I wasn’t able to get a reservation at El Bulli.
However, just outside of Seville is the El Bulli Hotel (http://www.elbullihotel.com/benazuzaweb_eng.html) which has a restaurant that serves the all time best dishes ever created by El Bulli. I did eat there.
Another blog with lots of good pictures of the El Bulli Hotel (http://chowtimes.com/2009/09/23/la-alqueria-restaurant-in-elbulli-hotel-hacienda-benazuza/)
The tasting menu was 16 courses with no option for a wine pairing. The courses were:
- Almond fizz
- Spherical green olive
- Fried baby fish with lemon
- Mimetic peanut
- Quicoguaca
- Iberian ham baguette
- Natural razor shell
- Deconstructed omelet potatoes
- Oyster tartar with marrow
- Tuna “ventresca” with tuna mayonnaise
- Gnocchis of polenta
- Red Mullet with beetroot raviolis
- Rabbit shoulder in “salmorejo” sauce with mango pure and mascarpone cheese
- Bubbles
- White chocolate English bread
- Crunchy chocolate with raspberries
This was without question the best dinning experience of my life!
Here are the pictures I could find of the meal care of Schaloka Chantha.
